WVU Southern NJ Alumni Chapter Membership
Calling all Mountaineers, family, and friends! The WVU Southern NJ Alumni Chapter is beginning a membership drive, with the goal of increasing our membership. Whether you are recent graduate or a graduate from years past - we want you! Just use the attached form to sign up!
The purpose of this Chapter shall be to promote, by organized effort, the interests and welfare of West Virginia University; to encourage closer fellowship among alumni, current and former students, parents and friends of the University in this area; to cooperate as West Virginia Alumni, in supporting and developing the civic activities of this community; to establish and maintain close contact and better understanding between the University and its graduates and former students in this locality. This Chapter is formed as a nonprofit, social organization.
Who can join?
Membership is open to any graduate, former student, former resident of West Virginia, or individual who shows interest in West Virginia University may become active members of this Chapter.
How much does membership cost?
Dues start at $15 per year for an individual membership or $25 per year for a joint membership. Recent graduate membership is free for the first 2 years after graduation. See the membership page for all membership options.
What do my dues pay for?
Your dues help offset the costs of operating the local chapter. These costs include tax filing, web hosting, advertising, and other essential administrative costs. Your dues help the chapter produce events, including game-watch parties and social functions. In addition, your dues are used to fund scholarships that are awarded annually to local WVU students.
The chapter is run entirely by volunteers like you. No member receives payment for work on behalf of the WVU Southern NJ Alumni Chapter.
Why should I join?
Your local alumni chapter will help keep the Mountaineer spirit alive, extending the WVU community right to your doorstep. Our chapter sponsors social events, organizes bus trips to football and basketball games, assists new graduates, raises scholarship funds, and recruits new students.
